Schwarzkopf hair products

A few of you will have heard me rave on about Schwarzkopf hair products and how great they are. It is more or less the only brand I use on my thick, black and damaged hair as it has proven to work so well in terms of smoothness and natural styling without even combing my hair in the morning.

My favourite all time product courtesy of my German flatmate who gets it for me everytime she goes back home, is the Schwarzkopf Gliss Kur spray

Love love love this product. Because I don't straighten my hair anymore I only use this spray for blow drying my hair, but it is designed for both hair drying and hair straightening purposes, and does not feel sticky like other hair sprays I have tried (Toni + Guy heat resistant spray for example makes your hair greasy). Good thing is that having this spray means my hair naturally falls into place and does not flick out or go crazy in the morning which it usually does.

However...I have yet to be able to locate this product in the UK, and apparently its only sold in a few European countries. Although, I have been able to find Schwarzkopf shampoo and hair conditioner (the products above are the ones I have bought) in the pound shop in Edinburgh! Apparently it is sold in semi chem as well but in pound shop, well, its only £1 each so I tend to stock up a few when I pass by and I use it combination with the spray. Just smells so nice, works so well and is so cheap! My friend from work also used it before and given good reviews.

I don't know why Schwarzkopf products are not so advertised here, brands like patene and head and shoulders just havent worked on my hair as well and Aussie hair products are too expensive to buy regularly. This is the perfect brand.

Try it out!

Affordable Designer brands

The bad thing about reading high fashion magazines is that most people cannot afford 80% of what the model is wearing. Designer wear seem to always come with a high price tag and high street fashion are not reputable because they are not Miu Miu, Alice + Olivia or Chloé. Whilst I admit that I sometimes buy designer things - bags in particular (consisting mainly of Juicy Couture and other lovely bags during the Harvey Nicks sale), I have a strong belief in not spending too much on actual clothing because it would be ridiculous to spend £300 on a dress you wear for no more than a few nights, or £100 on a designer tshirt that says "chanel" when you could easily print that on yourself. I am a fan of buying 'higher' high street brands, which consist of designer brands at affordable prices. These include FRENCH CONNECTION, KURT GEIGER, TOMMY HILFIGER, TED BAKER and my absolute favourite - PEPE JEANS.

Here are some of their items:

FRENCH CONNECTION

the last dress I bought recently :)

PEPE JEANS

TOMMY HILFIGER

These items may be a bit more pricey compared to places like H&M, but is definitely worth value, especially in comparison with the ridiculous prices you pay at Topshop which is not even recognised internationally!

Next blog I will be doing a review of Schwarzkopf hair products that everyone knows I am obsessed with :)

Victoria Beckham Fall Winter 2010/11 Collection

Victoria Beckham Fall Winter 2010/11 Collection

I have always found Victoria Beckham to be a style icon who knows how to dress to her shape. Her fall/winter designs are yet another collection which portrays her personal style and are very signature for a designer. Shes done a great job, my favourite pieces are the top two - the pale one shoulder maxi and little black dress.

My only criticism about her collection is these pieces are made specially for those with her body type, which is not many people! It would be hard to fit these dresses on anyone else and look as nice as it does on her. However, her designs are very famous with a lot of celebs.

Hmm...i still think victoria beckham herself wears it the best!

Personally when i choose dresses i try to find one which suit my body and I think a lot of people fail on that mistake i.e. seeing a dress on a mannequin or model and thinking it would look good on them, or following a trend despite it not suiting their shape. I am planning to do a blog on this topic!

Which dresses do you like the most from VB's fall/winter collection?
